Ginetta Four-Driver Line Up In The MotorMouth Charity Kart Race At Whilton Mill

Ginetta is set to participate in the MotorMouth Charity Kart race. This will be their debut entry at Whilton Mill with a four-driver line up.

The team’s headline drivers will feature Ginetta’s own Factory driver and LMP3 champion, Charlie Robertson, and experienced racing driver and Ginetta Motorsport Manager, Mike Simpson. Both drivers have previously competed in LMP Prototype racing but will be returning to their karting roots for this event.

Joining Robertson and Simpson will be two promising Ginetta Junior drivers, Henry Josyln and Brea Angliss. Both made their car racing debut in the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship this year. The quartet will come together on Tuesday June 20th for the annual charity karting event organised by MotorMouth. The event aims to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity and Movember Foundation.

The 2.5-hour endurance kart race will be broadcasted live on YouTube. Spectators can watch on as the Ginetta team goes head-to-head against other teams from across the UK. The event will feature a mixed grid of applicants, including an array of motorsport talents with a selection of celebrity and pro drivers per team. Entries range from content creator, BTCC competitors, broadcasting stars, and even former Formula 1 drivers.

Simpson and Robertson are confident that their collective experience in endurance racing and championship success will contribute to the team’s performance. They’re optomistic for their overall success in the karting campaign.

Words from Mike Simpson

Mike Simpson, said: “Ginetta are very much looking forward to supporting ‘The Brain Tumour Charity’ and Movember by entering a team in the MotorMouth Kart Race at Whilton Mill.

It is a fun way for us get involved showcasing some of our Ginetta Junior Racing Drivers. They are undoubtedly champions of the future alongside our factory driver European Le Mans Series Champion and former LMP1 WEC driver Charlie Robertson. At my old age I will be very much embarrassing myself in terms of performance! But, with my experience we hope for a good showing against a star-studded line up.”
