Aiming to be set the blistering pace and continue his phenomenal run of form will be James Kellett (Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport). The two-time Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion has produced some dominant performances on his way to nine wins in the 11 races so far, including a new championship record streak of seven in a row to start the season.
Tom Emson (Elite Motorsport) picked up a memorable first win in a G56 at Snetterton last time out and is currently on a run of five consecutive podium finishes. Reigning Ginetta Junior champion Aston Millar (DTO Motorsport) has consistently been on the podium too, with nine trophies in his 2022 collection.
Wes Pearce (Breakell Racing) heads into the weekend as the G56 Am class points leader, having made history at Knockhill by becoming the first Am driver in history to finish P1 overall. Darren Leung (Assetto Motorsport) is aiming to catch him though and took a victory hat-trick at Snetterton, while Mike Brown (Ultimate Speed Racing) is targeting a maiden win.
Two drivers return to Thruxton with plenty of experience around the Hampshire speedbowl. Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) and Colin White (CWS 4×4) both have more than 230 race starts in the GT4 SuperCup and will be targeting silverware in G56 Pro and Am respectively.
The most hotly-contested class on the grid this season has been G55 Pro. Luke Reade (Wolf Motorsport) leads the way after winning six of the opening eight races, and he’ll be keen to get back on the top step after a rollercoaster weekend at Snetterton.
James Taylor (Team HARD) will be full of confidence after picking up his first win of the season last time out, while Blake Angliss (Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport) scored his second of the year and has high hopes for Thruxton. Conner Garlick (Xentek Motorsport) is on a good run of form too with double podium finishes in each of the last two events.
Ian Duggan (Fox Motorsport) moved to the top of the G55 Am standings at Snetterton, with his impressive consistency to only finish off the podium once this season giving him the edge of Daniel Morris (Simon Green Motorsport), despite the latter having five wins to Duggan’s four. James Townsend (Fox Motorsport) enjoyed a maiden win last time out, while Luke Warr (Race Car Consultants) has been a consistent podium finisher across the season.
