Huge GT5 Grid at Anderstorp.

Reigning champion Hampus Rydman continued to dominate the Scandinavian Ginetta GT5 championship. After winning both races at Ring Knutstorp and Rudskogen in May, he enjoyed identical success at Anderstorp. Anders Gustavsson finished second in both races but behind him the fight was intense. Alexander Holmberg was third in Race 1 while 16 year old rookie Daniel Andersson crossed the line in that position in Race 2. His fourth podium finish in six races, which means he´s holding a strong third overall.

But Rydman´s streak of wins could have been interrupted as former champion and British GT driver Dennis Strandberg made a comeback. Driving the Blomstedt/Arenram G40 he took pole, two tenths ahead of Rydman, but was later disqualified for breaking the parc ferme rules. He then had to start from the back of the 21 car grid in both races and drove two strong races up to fourth and fifth.

Next race weekend for the Ginetta will be the Falkenberg on July 13-14 with an expected grid of 25  G40 cars.
