Stuart has scaled the motorsport ladder on an awe-inspiring journey, one which has seen him become one of the most successful Ginetta alumni.
The 23- year-old from Northumberland is recognised as a BRDC rising star who made his race car debut in the 2013 Ginetta Juniors championship. Stuart went onto claim his first major Championship title at the age of just 16, kickstarting his professional racing career.
Stuart said: “It is a pleasure to be back on the British GT grid this year with Ginetta, I’m really looking forward to working with Freddie and Raceway Motorsport! In the past I have had some great experiences with Ginetta, competing in the British GT championship and the European GT4 series, winning the British GT4 title back in 2017 and finishing European vice champion the following year in 2018.”
Since then I have built up invaluable experience and knowledge racing on the international stage in GT3, so it gives me good confidence we will be in for a great season – hopefully challenging for race wins and ultimately the title once again!
Ginetta were the driving force that kickstarted my racing career in 2015 when I won the scholarship, so it is a great feeling going back to my roots. I’d like to say a massive thank you to all those at Ginetta for the trust and the opportunity, I can’t wait to be back in the seat!”
Raceway Motorsport, Team Principal, Luca Hirst said: “We are thrilled to welcome Stuart to the team as he joins forces with Freddie in the Ginetta G56 GT4 car this season. Stuart’s vast experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we strive towards success this season. His skill and expertise will no doubt prove to be a great benefit to our team.”
