Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup

As has been the case for the last four seasons, the GT4 SuperCup will be contested across eight race meetings in 2020, running exclusively on the support package for the British Touring Car Championship and benefitting from live ITV4 television coverage.

After a popular return this year for the first time since 2015, the fastest circuit in the UK, Thruxton, remains on the GT4 SuperCup calendar for a second consecutive season, while Snetterton makes a welcome reappearance after being missed this campaign.

The season will kick off at Donington Park in March, while Brands Hatch retains the all-important season finale in October. In between, the championship will also visit Oulton Park, Croft and Silverstone.

Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship

The Juniors will once again captivate the trackside crowds and live ITV4 viewers as an exclusive part of the British Touring Car Championship support bill next season. There has been a change to the calendar though, with a reduced nine meeting schedule for 2020.

Following drivers experiencing clashes between a race meeting and important GCSE examinations in recent years, the decision has been made to miss the Oulton Park meeting in June to ensure the drivers can focus on their education.

The UK’s longest running and most prestigious junior series will continue to offer a fantastic package for young drivers looking to kick-start their motorsport careers though, with visits to the biggest circuits in the UK like Donington Park, Brands Hatch and Silverstone.

It will mark the first time the championship has supported the BTCC three times in a single season, with outings at Silverstone, Oulton Park and Knockhill. It joins the British GT for Snetterton, Donington Park and the traditional Easter weekend season opener at Oulton Park.

The series traditional overseas meeting will take place at Zandvoort in July, one of the many highlights of what is sure to be a popular calendar for the blossoming championship.

It will support British GT for five of its six meetings across the season, visiting Oulton Park, Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington Park twice. Alongside this, it will join the GT5 Challenge in heading out to Zandvoort for a second year in a row.

“With all of our championships competing alongside the BTCC, British GT or both in the case of the GT5 Challenge, our drivers and teams will enjoy the spotlight of racing in front of large trackside crowds.

“One of our main focuses when putting together the calendars this season has been variety, trying to ensure each series competes on as many different track layouts as possible across the campaign to give an exciting mix of challenges for our competitors.

“With four class championships to be won across the G40 Cup and GT5 Challenge this weekend at Donington Park, and the title battles heating up in the GT4 SuperCup and Juniors, we’re looking set for a thrilling end to the year and an exciting 2020.”
