Hedley (Elite Motorsport) has been at the top of the standings throughout the 2019 campaign, having only finished off the podium three times in 20 races. A double win two weeks ago at Knockhill means he has a 56 point lead with six races remaining.
His main competition comes from Zak O’Sullivan (R Racing). A sensational maiden campaign has included thirteen overall podium finishes, while he has also accrued a commanding advantage in the rookie standings with 18 class podiums.
Mathematically only two other drivers remain in overall title contention, Richardson Racing team-mates Will Martin and Casper Stevenson, though both are over 150 points off the lead. Martin had a tough Knockhill, but has starred through the campaign with seven race wins, more than anyone else.
Stevenson meanwhile is the only driver that could overhaul O’Sullivan for the rookie title, courtesy of a superb season that has featured nine overall podium finishes. The Richardson line-up is completed by another top three contender in Ethan Hawkey.
After knocking on the door all season, Lorcan Hanafin (Douglas Motorsport) took a deserved maiden win last time out. He’s in a tight battle with team-mate Gus Burton over fifth in the points, with the duo both having their eye on silverware this weekend.
James Taylor (Elite Motorsport) was a double race-winner earlier in the season, while R Racing duo Josh Rattican and Joel Pearson have also impressed with regular rookie podiums. Ben Kasperczak (Privateer) heads to Silverstone full of confidence after getting his first rookie silverware.
Current Ginetta Junior scholar Ethan Brooks (TCR), Bailey Voisin (Douglas Motorsport) and Ben O’Hare (Premiership Academy Racing) have featured in the top ten recently, while Haytham Qarajouli (TCR), Frankie Taylor (Team HARD), Freddie Tomlinson (Douglas Motorsport) and Molly Dodd (Premiership Academy Racing) have been in the mix too.
Aston Millar (R Racing) and Zak Taylor (Alistair Rushforth Motorsport) will each make their second appearance of the season this weekend, Daniel Gale (TCR) makes a welcome return to the grid, while there are two new faces in Suleiman Zanfari (Elite Motorsport) and Kieran Fuller (Privateer).
