The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is set to tackle three crucial races this weekend at Croft, with Adam Smalley having positioned himself as the man to beat with three meetings to go.

Preview: 2021 Ginetta GT4 SuperCup – Croft

Smalley (Elite Motorsport) is on a fantastic run of form in the championship, moving to the top of the standings with double race wins in each of the last two rounds at Knockhill and Thruxton. Three further victories across the campaign have helped him build a 12 point advantage.

Sitting second in the points is Tom Hibbert (Rob Boston Racing). Prior to a subdued weekend at Thruxton, he was a near permanent fixture on the podium and his tally of ten rostrum finishes is more than anyone else on the grid. Both he and Smalley are former race-winners at Croft too.

Another driver to previously enjoy success in North Yorkshire, albeit in the Juniors, is Josh Rattican (Elite Motorsport). A pair of second place finishes at Thruxton has kept his title hopes alive, though adding to his sole win at Snetterton will be crucial to start closing his deficit to Smalley.

Carlito Miracco (Preptech UK) starred with a double podium finish last time out to continue his record of taking home silverware from every event so far this season, while an impressive campaign for Tom Emson (Elite Motorsport) has seen him stand on the podium five times.

James Blake-Baldwin enjoyed a memorable weekend at Thruxton, picking up both his and the AK Motorsport team’s first Ginetta victory in the reverse grid encounter, while Luke Reade (Rob Boston Racing) enjoyed a breakthrough moment at Oulton Park with his first podium finish.

Other potential podium contenders in the competitive field include Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) and Joe Marshall (Team HARD), who have each finished fourth on three occasions this year, plus Century Motorsport’s Blake Angliss, Henry Dawes and Andy Spencer.

In the Pro Am class, reigning champion Colin White (CWS Motorsport) is proving unstoppable in his defence of the crown. The Ginetta veteran’s current run of 11 consecutive victories – an all-time championship record – has moved him 79 points clear at the top.

Carl Garnett (AK Motorsport) has been leading the challenge, finishing runner-up 11 times so far, while his team-mate Garry Townsend, Stewart Lines (Rob Boston Racing) and Luke Warr (Race Car Consultants) are also podium finishers.
