Ethan Jeff-Hall, the newly crowned Ginetta Junior Champion, has won a £50,000 Scholarship prize to put towards a seat in next year’s GB4 Championship.
The 16-year-old had an outstanding campaign in Ginetta Juniors, winning the title in his rookie year with six wins and eight further podium finishes from the 25-race series.
The R Racing driver claimed the title with a 17-point margin to his nearest rival, and with a race to spare. Not only has he proven his abilities in cars, but he also backed up his campaign by becoming the CIK FIA OK World Karting Champion in the same year.
He now has the opportunity to graduate to single-seaters, with the £50,000 sum, provided jointly by GB4 promotor MotorSport Vision (MSV) and Ginetta Cars, to be put towards a seat of his choosing in the 2025 GB4 Championship.
Jeff-Hall is the latest star to emerge from the Ginetta Junior Championship, with GB3 champions Zak O’Sullivan, Luke Browning and Callum Voisin all graduates from the series, in addition to multiple F1 race-winner Lando Norris, and Italian F4 dominator Freddie Slater.
Ethan Jeff-Hall said:
“It’s been a great season, it was my first year in cars, so it’s been phenomenal. We’ve had a brilliant season and I can’t thank everyone enough at R Racing.
“Everyone’s dream is to be in F1, and this is the way forward, making the steps up through GB4 and into GB3. Hopefully we can have a great season next year. We’ve been thinking of single-seaters through this year but it costs a lot of money so it was going to be hard with our budget. But this is definitely going to help a lot and hopefully we can now bring together the rest of the funding to do GB4 next year.
“The aim would be to race up at the front, so I need to start finalising my plans soon and get everything sorted. The new GB4 car for next year looks amazing and I hope to be driving it soon!”
