Following decisions by the organisers of the British Touring Car Championship and British GT Championship to delay the starts of their seasons until May, there have been changes to the previous scheduled calendars for each of the Ginetta championships.
The four championships will continue to race on the same circuits as planned originally, with the only changes being to the dates. Crucially, there remains no clashing weekends between Ginetta championships competing alongside BTCC and British GT.
Ash Gallagher – Ginetta Motorsport Manager: “Ginetta fully support the decision to delay the start of the 2021 seasons and credit must go to TOCA and SRO for arranging the revised calendars so early in the year.
“The fact there are no clashing weekends between the two race packages is great news for all our teams who race across multiple Ginetta championships. We’re also pleased to have kept the same circuits for each series, to ensure continuity with what our entrants committed too.
“While we have to wait a little bit longer to get the season underway, we hope it will ensure we can go racing in the best possible environment and increase the likelihood of having fans back with us trackside this year.”
