Elite Motorsport Build 2026 Entry With Returning Drivers

2025 Ginetta champion Harry Gamble and Henry Cameron will be back in action with Elite Motorsport this year as they return for their second consecutive seasons in the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship and Ginetta Junior Championship respectively.

Harry Gamble made his car-racing debut in the Ginetta GT Academy back in 2024, with an impressive maiden campaign seeing him challenge for the rookie class title. While championship glory eluded him that year, he made no mistake last season as he celebrated PRO AM success in the GT Championship.

A remarkable season for the Nottingham-based racer included two overall race victories and three further podium finishes en-route to the class title. He made history in the process, becoming the third member of the Gamble family to become a Ginetta champion alongside Tom and George.

Harry Gamble: “I’m excited to be stepping up to the PRO class in 2026 after winning PRO AM last year. My aims are to keep improving as a driver and pushing for more good results. The G56 GTP8 is a great car. I learnt a lot last year about racing on slick tyres, plus the car’s complex electronic elements.

“Last year was an enjoyable experience overall and I’m hoping to take that experience into 2026. I made a couple of errors which ultimately cost me further top race results, but mainly it was a very positive year scoring two outright wins plus a handful of overall podiums as well as the PRO AM championship in a very competitive field.”

Ed Ives – Elite Motorsport Team Principal: “We’re very pleased to be continuing with Harry for a third consecutive season. Harry has progressed exceptionally quickly since joining us, and his Pro-Am title last year was thoroughly deserved.

“He showed real race craft, consistency and the ability to deliver under pressure, while also contributing hugely to our Teams’ Championship success. We’re confident that with the experience he’s gained and his continued determination to improve, he’ll be a strong contender at the front of the field in 2026.”

Henry Cameron made his car-racing debut in the 2024 Ginetta Junior Winter Series, before returning to the grid for a first full season last year. He secured a best result of 14th overall on three occasions and picked up 20 podium finishes in the Freshmans Cup.

The Cheshire-based racer, son of Le Mans 24 Hours podium finisher Duncan Cameron, went on to link up with Elite Motorsport for the first time in the season-ending Winter Series. An impressive showing saw him secure a couple of top ten results, setting him up for his sophomore campaign this year.

Henry Cameron: “I’m very much looking forward to competing in my second full season in the Ginetta Junior Championship. I will be aiming for a top-five finish in the final standings. I chose Elite Motorsport because I believe that with their masses of experience in the category, they can help me improve my driving. Additionally, Elite have great coaches to assist plus good competition from within the multi-car team.”

Ed Ives: “We’re really pleased to be continuing with Henry for his second season in the Ginetta Junior Championship. He impressed us with his attitude, commitment and willingness to learn in the Winter Series last year.

“Having gained valuable experience with us and throughout last season, Henry is well placed to take a strong step forward in 2026. With another year of development and the depth of experience within the team, we’re confident he can make significant improvements.”

The pinnacle of Ginetta’s domestic racing ladder, the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship is an ultra-competitive series that accelerates driver development for aspiring professional drivers. The series utilises the V8-powered Ginetta G56 GTP8, the ultimate one-make GT race car.

The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s longest running and most prestigious Junior series, offering the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14 to 17-year-old racing drivers as they compete on the support bill for the British GT Championship.
