E3 Sport are riding high after their most successful season in the Ginetta UK Championships to date, celebrating title victories in both the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship and Ginetta GT Academy.
Tom Walker delivered the team their third consecutive GTA class title, following in the footsteps of Julian Wantling and James Nicholas, while Jamie Caudle wrapped up the AM honours for the team’s maiden success in the GT Championship.
After narrowly missing out on the GTA title last year, Caudle stepped up the ladder and charged to nine class wins on his way to the AM title. Walker meanwhile was dominant in the GTA ranks, securing the crown with a 100% podium record in the races he contested including nine wins.
Team principal Jim Edwards enthused: “I’m super proud of everybody involved, to win our third consecutive GTA title and our first title in the GT Championship. Winning two championships in the same season is something we haven’t done before, so I’m absolutely elated.
“Tom [Walker] did a season in a club championship which taught him the fundamentals and set him up for a dominant season. Every race he started, he finished in the top three in class, which is brilliant and he’s hungry for more going into 2027.
“Similar to Jack Collins with us last year, Jamie [Caudle] started out learning the car and making progress, before it really clicked for the second half of the season and he became a front-running driver. He’s driven exceptionally well and deserves his first title win.”

It was a successful year all round for the E3 Sport stable. Nicholas joined his team-mate Caudle as an AM title contender, picking up four class wins, while Robin Grimwood and Wantling both celebrated victories in the GT Academy’s Chairmans Cup.
Andrew Robinson enjoyed a successful mid-season graduation from Juniors to GT Academy meanwhile, taking four GTA class wins and three pole positions in two events. Collectively, E3 Sport’s six drivers accumulated no less than 33 class wins and 48 class podium finishes across the campaign.
While Edwards is naturally overjoyed with the success achieved this year, he admits that it’s the team spirit and camaraderie within the awning that pleases him the most and makes E3 Sport stand out in the paddock.
“The thing I’m probably most proud of with our team is the fact that everyone gets along and enjoys their racing together,” he explained. “We try to make it a fun environment to work and race in, and we all become genuine friends and socialise outside of the race events too.
“The whole team from top to bottom, we’ve found a sweet spot and all gelled really well. That means drivers are staying with us for multiple seasons, and progressing up the ladder from Juniors to GT Academy to GT Championship with us, and that brings us a lot of satisfaction.”
