Successful Ginetta team RacingSupport have announced a two-car entry into the new Ginetta one-make class within the 2026 SRO GT America championship, with David Lecko their first confirmed driver.
A new chapter in Ginetta’s growth within the North American market this year sees the introduction of a dedicated one-make ‘spec’ series for Ginetta G56 GTP8’s within SRO GT America, building on the recent success of the Ginetta Challenge series in the US.
RacingSupport have established themselves as one of the most successful teams in the Ginetta Challenge, securing more podium finishes than anyone else with the Ginetta G56 GTA model. They will now bring that experience to the SRO GT America grid with their V8-powered G56 GTP8’s.
David Lecko will move up the Ginetta ladder to pilot the DealMachine supported #89 Ginetta G56 GTP8 this season, with the driver of the sister car to be announced in due course. Lecko will begin a testing programme in the new GTP8 in the near future.

The 2026 SRO GT America season begins at Sonoma Raceway next month (27-29 March). A seven-event calendar takes in some of the most iconic circuits in North America, including Sebring International Raceway, Road America and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Each SRO GT America race weekend will feature a pair of 40-minute races, with every race set to be streamed live and free globally on the GT World YouTube channel.
