Preview: 2025 Ginetta Junior Winter Series – Silverstone

A thrilling 2025 Ginetta race season reaches its conclusion this weekend (01-02 November) with a bumper grid of teenage talents ready to put on a show in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series at Silverstone.

The traditional end-of-season mini-series heads to Silverstone for the second consecutive season as part of the world-famous Walter Hayes Trophy event. The 17th running of the Winter Series will feature a single qualifying session and three 20-minute races.

An exciting mix of established Ginetta Junior racers and car-racing debutants will battle it out to try and add their name to a roll call of Winter Series champions that includes the likes of Freddie Slater, Seb Priaulx, Adam Smalley, Seb Morris and 2024 victor Isaac Phelps.

R Racing are the team to beat heading into the event, having won all three championships on offer in the main 2025 Ginetta Junior season. They are entering no less than seven cars this weekend, led by Jarrett Clark who secured his maiden overall podium finishes at Donington Park last month.

Lewis Goff is one to watch after impressing with a trio of top six finishes during a three-event run at the end of the main season, while Jesse Phillips is back for more action after making his car-racing bow at Donington last month.

R Racing will also welcome four Junior debutants in Emma Scarbrough, Sebastien Leusch, Jamie Ambrose and Riley Cranham, the latter having impressively reached the final four of the Ginetta Junior Scholarship contest two weeks’ ago.

Elite Motorsport have won four of the last six Winter Series titles on offer and they’re back to try and successfully defend their crown. Their entry is headlined by Colin Cronin, who will be the most experienced driver on the grid and was a race-winner in the Winter Series last year.

Elite are entering two drivers with a full season of Junior experience under their belt in top-ten finisher Revie Lake and Henry Cameron, plus two Ginetta Junior Scholarship finalists making their Junior debut in Kai Veitch and Jacob Ashcroft.

Pace Performance have enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Juniors and will be targeting more success this weekend. Torrin Byrne scored an overall pole position and two podium finishes in the main campaign, while Harry Bartle picked up rookie class silverware. Vladislav Tomenchuk completes their entry for his second Junior race weekend.

Three more drivers who picked up top ten finishes this season will be on the grid, MKH Racing’s Raul Zunzarren and Performance One Motorsport duo Noah Young and Josh Watts. The entry is completed by MDD Racing with a pair of Junior debutants in Luke Walton and Savva Solonchenko.
