Hampus Rydman defends his Ginetta GT5 title

With two rounds still remaining of the Scandinavian Ginetta GT5 Challenge, last year´s champion Hampus Rydman has already clinched the title. By winning both races at Falkenberg he continued to dominate the grid securing 8 wins so far.

Teenager Daniel Andersson finished second in the Saturday race and
holds joint runner-up position with veteran Anders Gustavsson.  Amalie Wichmand from
Denmark, had a strong weekend with a fighting drive from ninth to fourth. On
Sunday she made even more progress and took the last place on the podium behind
Rydman and Andreas Lundin – the first top-3 result for the youngster.

In the Junior Swedish Championship Daniel Andersson holds a commanding
lead ahead of Amalie Wichmand and Linus Ahlström. Daniel also secured best
rookie overall.

Scandinavian Ginetta GT5 continues to grow with more than 20 competitors
fighting it out at every race.

“There´s more to come and we expect even bigger grids in 2020”, says
Scandinavian Ginetta promotor Leif Lindström. During the autumn we will
organize tests for new drivers, starting with the Prince Carl Philip Racing
Pokal on October 8.
