All Ginetta race activity will be postponed until at least the end of April 2020.

Motorsport UK, the national motorsport governing body, confirmed today that all race competition in the country will be postponed until at least 30th April 2020. Their statement reads:

“It is with regret that Motorsport UK is suspending all organising permits and Certificates of Exemption until at least 30th April 2020. This suspension follows the latest guidance issued by HM UK Government in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. This position will be constantly reviewed given prevailing information.

As the National Governing Body, we would ask all Motorsport UK members to act responsibly and follow the Government’s guidance during this difficult time.

We thank all of our members, organisers, officials, volunteers, staff and their families for their support during these unprecedented times.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will resume sporting activity as soon as we are able.”

The Ginetta race meetings currently postponed are:

BTCC Round 1 – Donington Park – 27/28 March

BTCC Round 2 – Brands Hatch – 11/12 April

British GT Round 1 – Oulton Park – 11-13 April

Everyone at Ginetta respects the decision made by Motorsport UK and will be working closely with them, TOCA, SRO, the BARC and the rest of the motorsport community as we continue to monitor the evolving situation regarding COVID-19.

The Ginetta championship launch test at Silverstone this Thursday (19th March) will be going ahead as planned, this is strictly a closed event to the public. Our facilities at Blyton Park and the SIMTrack driving performance centre will remain open.
