Following the confirmation of provisional calendars for the British Touring Car Championship and British GT Championship, Ginetta have finalised prospective dates for their series across the two highest-profile race packages in the UK.
The decision has been made by TOCA and SRO to provisionally plan events from the start of August onwards, however the calendars remain conditional upon receiving appropriate government directives and approvals regarding the resumption of sporting activities in the UK.
The Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship and Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup will continue to race solely in support of the BTCC. They will now contest eight and seven events respectively, starting at Donington Park (1/2 August) and ending at Brands Hatch GP (14/15 November).
The Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge remains a fixture on both the BTCC and British GT support bills, contesting three events alongside each series. The Ginetta G40 Cup and GRDC meanwhile will feature exclusively alongside British GT for five race meetings.
The GT5 Challenge and G40 Cup were due to visit Zandvoort in July for the championship’s traditional overseas meeting, however this has been cancelled due to government restrictions and will not be rescheduled this year.
