Bumper Entry Confirmed For 2026 Ginetta UK Championships

More than 50 drivers have confirmed their entries into the Ginetta UK Championships for 2026, with an exciting mix of familiar Ginetta competitors and new faces to the paddock coming together for what’s sure to be an exhilarating season of racing.

Following its landmark 20th anniversary season in 2025, the Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels is going from strength to strength with the potential for record-breaking grids this year.

R Racing are returning with a capacity six-car entry as they look to defend their clean sweep of the titles last year. Their squad includes Winter Series champion Jesse Phillips and Melvin Kalousdian, the latest young talent to be representing the Red Bull Junior Team in Ginetta Juniors.

The latest winner of the Ginetta Junior Scholarship, Devon Hagelen, will be part of Elite Motorsport’s six-strong line-up. As he looks to make it back-to-back Dutch champions, his team-mates at the multiple champion team include returnees Henry Cameron and Jacob Ashcroft.

No less than 13 drivers who raced in Ginetta Juniors last year will be back on the grid. They include Performance One Motorsport duo Noah Young and Josh Watts, Pace Performance’s podium-finisher Harry Bartle and Andrew Robinson with race-winning outfit E3 Sport.

Amongst the new additions to the grid are leading GT squad Paradine Competition, with a pair of rookies including Vicky Farfus – daughter of professional GT driver Augusto. Established teams MDD Motorsport, MK Racing, RABsport Racing and Project R are also running rookie entrants.

The Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship and Ginetta GT Academy are set to share a grid for the first time this season. 2026 marks the second year of the latest era for the GT Championship, with teams running the V8-powered, 390bhp Ginetta G56 GTP8.

Three champions from 2025 are returning to the GT Championship grid. Teams’ victors Elite Motorsport are back with their PRO AM winner Harry Gamble, while reigning PRO title-winning squad MDD Motorsport are entering championship newcomer Elliot Foster.

The strength of the Ginetta UK championships ladder is being shown by one Junior and four GT Academy graduates making the step up to the series. Reigning GTA champion James Nicholas and vice-champion Jamie Caudle remain with E3 Sport, while Felix Livesey, Louis Darling and Lucie Hodgson are part of a strong Orion SPR entry.

Two teams head into the new GT Academy season aiming to secure their third consecutive class titles. E3 Sport have twice emerged victorious in the GTA category and they will see 2024 champion Julian Wantling return for selected rounds, alongside fellow experienced Ginetta racer Robin Grimwood and newcomer Tom Walker.

The team to beat in the Rookie ranks meanwhile has been W2R, and Faye Goff will be defending that crown for them. They will also enter a few other returning names in the GTA class; Ben Cooke, Allan Wright and Damien Duffy.

W2R’s line-up will feature a couple of international debutants too in Luis Beilicke and Joe Ostholthoff, whilst former GTA champions SVG Motorsport and Performance One Motorsport are both bringing pairs of rookie drivers to the grid.

Kelly Robertson, Ginetta UK Championships Manager: “We are delighted to have more than 50 drivers signed up to compete across the Ginetta UK championships this year. It’s a testament to the quality of the championships, the racing they produce and the driver development opportunities provided, as well as to the hard work and dedication of our teams.

“It’s a pleasure to have so many of our loyal drivers coming back to race again, but also to be introducing a number of new drivers to the paddock. It’s shaping up to be a brilliant season of racing across all three championships and we can’t wait to get started.”

The 2026 Ginetta UK championships season gets underway with the Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels opener at Donington Park (11/12 April). The Juniors will then be joined by the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship and Ginetta GT Academy for the opening British GT Championship event of the year at Silverstone (25/26 April).
