  • Senior Engine Builder

    About the role:

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engine Builder to join ourgrowing team in Garforth. As part of the role you will be assisting in the three main engine platforms, providing attention to detail in a variety of disciplines required to take an engine from component level to production line and be assembly ready.

    As a Senior Engine Builder, it will be your job to:

    • Work on production and prototype engines
    • Follow established safety procedures.
    • Follow established build processes.
    • Keep to an established level of component cleanliness.
    • Maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.
    • Communicate and resolve quality issues as they arise
    • Monitor and plan ahead for production schedules
    • Maintain realistic time management.
    • Ensure stock is correctly logged throughout the system
    • Ensure records are kept up to date

    The successful candidate will:

    • Have a good understanding and interest in engineering principals.
    • Show evidence of previous engine building which is essential.
    • Demonstrate the ability to understand and use measuring and inspection equipment, bore micrometers, dial gauges etc.
    • An in-depth level of understanding of an internal combustion engine architecture, motion and function is essential.
    • Have computer and common software awareness including folders & filing, Excel, Outlook and Word.
    • Show some understanding of Engine management systems.
    • Have a keen eye for detail, cleanliness and is willing to follow an established process within a team.

    About the role:

    We are currently recruiting for a Mid-Level Engine Builder that sits between our Junior and Senior roles to join our growing team in Garforth. As part of the role you will be assisting in the three main engine platforms, providing attention to detail in a variety of disciplines required to take an engine from component level to production line and be assembly ready.

    As an Engine Builder, it will be your job to:

    • Work on production and prototype engines
    • Follow established safety procedures.
    • Follow established build processes.
    • Keep to an established level of component cleanliness.
    • Maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.
    • Communicate and resolve quality issues as they arise
    • Monitor and plan ahead for production schedules
    • Maintain realistic time management.

The successful applicant will provide attention to detail in a variety of disciplines required to take an engine from component level to production line and be assembly ready.

    As a Junior Engine Builder, it will be your job to:

    • Follow established safety procedures.
    • Follow established build processes.
    • Keep to an established level of component cleanliness.
    • Work in and help to maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.
    • Communicate and resolve quality issues as they arise
    • Monitor and plan ahead for production schedules
    • Ensure stock is correctly logged throughout the system

    The successful candidate will:

    • Have attention to detail
    • Work in a structured and well-planned way
    • Show drive for continuous self-improvement
    • Have excellent time keeping
    • Maintaining professional and smart appearance
    • Show hands-on ability and an engineering interest.
    • Indicate a good level of understanding of an internal combustion engine architecture and how one works.
    • At least 4 GCSE passes are required.
    • A degree in engineering would be desirable.
    • An understanding of Motorsport would be advantageous although not essential.

  • MIG Welder

    About the role:

    We are looking to recruit a MIG Welder to join our team.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • M.I.G welder/fabricator to work in the Fabrication Department
    • To assist the fabrication team with the build schedule of fabricated components
    • To manufacture components using technical drawings
    • M.I.G weld mild steel
    • Sub-assembly of fabricated components including use of jigs
    • Basic T.I.G welding ability is beneficial but not essential

     In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by Group management from time to time.

    Suitable Candidate will have:

    • Basic mechanical knowledge
    • Passionate and enthusiastic about Motorsport is beneficial but not essential
    • Self-motivated

    • Follow established safety procedures.
    • Follow established build processes.
    • Keep to an established level of component cleanliness.
    • Maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.
    • Communicate and resolve quality issues as they arise
    • Monitor and plan the forecast for production and rebuild work 
    • Maintain realistic time management.
    • Work with staff members to develop their skills
    • Ensure stock is correctly logged throughout the system
    • Ensure records are kept up to date

    The successful candidate will:

    • Have a good understanding and interest in engineering principals.
    • Have experience of managing a team
    • Show evidence of previous engine building which is essential.
    • Demonstrate the ability to understand and use measuring and inspection equipment, bore micrometers, dial gauges etc.
    • An in-depth level of understanding of an internal combustion engine architecture, motion and function is essential.
    • Have computer and common software awareness including folders & filing, Excel, Outlook and Word.
    • Show experience and understanding of Engine management systems. Ideally Motec
    • Have a keen eye for detail, cleanliness and is willing to follow an established process within a team.

  • Head of GRP Production

    About the role:

    We are currently recruiting for a Head of GRP Production to join our growing team in Garforth. As part of the role you will be managing the department, heading up the team responsible for the production and assembly of our GRP Bodywork

    As Head of GRP Production, it will be your job to:

    • Manage department staff spread over 4 sub departments – Laminators, Finishers, Trimmers and Bodywork Assembly
    • Schedule work for each department to coincide with the production schedule and aftersales
    • Manage the quantity and regularity of Ginetta parts produced by external suppliers ensuring quality is of desired level
    • Manage external suppliers – External stock, lead times and costings
    • Communicate and resolve quality issues as they arise
    • Be responsible for reviewing and ordering stock, raw materials and equipment in good time for required work
    • Ensure stock is correctly logged throughout the system
    • Ensure records are kept up to date
    • Follow established safety procedures
    • Follow established build processes
    • Keep to an established level of component cleanliness
    • Maintain a good level of cleanliness within the department.
    • Monitor and plan for future production
    • Maintain realistic time management

    The successful candidate will:

    • Help to Laminate, trim and finish parts as required
    • Have computer and common software awareness including folders & filing, Excel, Outlook and Word
    • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, may be asked to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time
    • Show evidence of previous production line and managerial experience
    • Have a firm appreciation of stock control and the upmost importance of maintaining accurate levels
    • Have a keen eye for detail, cleanliness and is willing to follow an established process within a team
    • Be able to read, understand and work from technical drawings
