Reigning champions R Racing are entering five drivers for the Ginetta Junior Winter Series powered by Sunoco Race Fuels at Snetterton this weekend.
The Norfolk-based team were the dominant force in the Ginetta Junior Championship this season, winning the Teams’ title and both Drivers’ crowns with Lewis Goff. They head into the Winter Series looking to successfully defend the title they won with Jesse Phillips last year.
Sebastien Leusch leads their entry, having secured his first two overall podium finishes at Snetterton back in August on his way to a top ten championship finish. Anesu Maphumulo joins him in having a season of experience under his belt, as he switches to R Racing for this weekend.
Louis Radcliffe made his debut at Snetterton to start a three-event cameo in the championship this year. The team’s entry is completed by two car-racing rookies; Ferrari Driver Academy talent Noah Baglin and Canadian driver Rayan Ghandour.
Jamie Ross, R Racing Team Principal: “We’re looking forward to getting back out at Snetterton with a good mix of experienced and new drivers. The Winter Series is a great opportunity for those coming out of karting to get their first taste of racing Ginetta’s and learn a lot in a short space of time. We’ve had a fantastic season, and the aim is to finish the year strongly while helping the new drivers find their feet.”
