Team CMR will field a dual car Ginetta GT2 entry in the 2026 season of the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, underlining its growing commitment to GT2 competition and the expanding global partnership between Ginetta and SRO.
The two car programme brings together experience, ambition and performance, positioning CMR as a major presence in one of Europe’s most exciting GT categories.
The first Ginetta GT2 will be driven by Lawrence Tomlinson and Mike Simpson. Their entry signals clear intent, with deep knowledge of the Ginetta platform, years of GT racing experience and a shared focus on performance make the pairing a cornerstone of the programme and a powerful statement of confidence in GT2 and the SRO platform.
CMR’s second Ginetta GT2 will see Mikkel Njor and Ethan Gialdini take on the European championship. Ethan Gialdini steps up to GT2 having progressed through the SRO ladder with CMR and Ginetta, competing in the Championnat de France FFSA GT and SRO GT Academy competition. The pairing brings speed, commitment and a hunger to compete at the front. With complementary driving styles and experience across high level GT racing, the duo adds an exciting and competitive edge to CMR’s 2026 campaign.
Both Gialdini and Njor will also be eligible for the SRO GT Academy initiative, which offers leading GT2 drivers the opportunity to secure a funded GT3 opportunity for 2027, including support towards a GT World Challenge Europe programme and further career development backing from SRO.
CMR’s expanded GT2 entry reflects the strength of the relationship between SRO and Ginetta, a partnership that continues to grow globally. GT2 has become a key platform for showcasing Ginetta’s engineering, performance and racing DNA on the world stage, and CMR’s two-car commitment reinforces that shared vision.
With two Ginetta GT2 cars on the grid, CMR heads into 2026 with clear ambition and confidence. Preparations are already underway as the team targets a strong and competitive season in a championship that continues to build momentum.
“Running two cars in GT2 Europe in 2026 is exactly where we want CMR to be,” said Charly Bourachot, team owner of CMR. “It reflects the confidence we have in the championship, in our partnership with Ginetta, and in the direction we’re taking the team. We’re here because we believe GT2 has a strong and exciting future”
