\nsuffered a wrist injury during a Trans-Am race at Road America over the past
\nweekend.
\n\u201cI had a pretty big hit after losing the brakes and whilst the injury isn\u2019t too
\nbad it simply would not be sensible to put myself into an LMP1 car where I have
\nto do some very heavy lifting.
\n\u201cI\u2019m upset to be missing the season opener but looking forward to joining the
\nteam in Japan for round 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nJarvis has a hugely varied career record in single seaters, Touring Cars, GTs and Sports Prototypes, is currently a race winning Mazda
\nfactory driver in the IMSA Series and competed last weekend in a Nissan GT3 car
\nfor manufacturer nominated KCMG in the Suzuka 10 Hours.
\nHe is an ex factory Audi LMP1 driver with two overall and three LMP2 class wins
\nin the FIA WEC to his name finishing second in the 2016 WEC overall, and second
\nin LMP2 in 2017, a season which included a class win at Silverstone.<\/p>\n
He has 10
\noverall podium finishes in the WEC and a further 6 class podium finishes.\u00a0
\nTeam LNT Owner Lawrence Tomlinson said:
\n\u201cIt\u2019s bad news for Chris and for the team but I agree with him, it simply isn\u2019t
\nsensible to race in those circumstances.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\u201cChris is a very experienced racer and he\u2019ll know when to take the advice of
\nhis doctor and sit one out. We\u2019ll welcome him back later in the season.
