{"id":905,"date":"2019-09-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-16T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginetta.com\/news\/luca-ghiotto-joins-team-lnt-ginetta-for-6-hours-of-fuji\/"},"modified":"2023-01-09T14:25:50","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T14:25:50","slug":"luca-ghiotto-joins-team-lnt-ginetta-for-6-hours-of-fuji","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginetta.com\/us\/news\/luca-ghiotto-joins-team-lnt-ginetta-for-6-hours-of-fuji\/","title":{"rendered":"Luca Ghiotto Joins Team LNT Ginetta For 6 Hours of Fuji"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Current FIA F2 Championship title contender Luca Ghiotto from Italy arrives with race-winning form in GP3, GP2 and latterly F2, and with mileage in the Ginetta LMP1 car from July\u2019s WEC Prologue at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain where he set the fastest lap time in the car.<\/p>\n<p>Luca will join Ben Hanley and Egor Orudzhev in the #5 Ginetta in Japan as the trio try to better the fourth-place finish that the car achieved at Silverstone.<\/p>\n<p>Ginetta Factory Driver Charlie Robertson meanwhile moves over to the sister #6 car joining fellow factory man Mike Simpson and 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours overall winner Guy Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie substitutes for Chris Dyson who was forced to miss Silverstone&#8217;s opening round through injury and had always planned to miss Fuji as it clashes with the Trans-Am Championship in the USA where Chris is in title-winning contention, a commitment that pre-dated his WEC programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Team LNT owner Lawrence Tomlinson said:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that Luca can join us in Japan, he\u2019s a real talent and loved the car at the Prologue but was unable to join the team at Silverstone as he had a clashing F2 fixture. \u201cCombining his talents with those of Ben and Egor will, I\u2019m sure, help to unlock even more of the potential of the Ginetta AER on a circuit that will suit a car with good top speed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAnd with three very good drivers in the #6 Ginetta AER too we are going to be looking for a very strong result in our very first flyaway race with the new cars.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Current FIA F2 Championship title contender Luca Ghiotto from Italy arrives with race-winning form in GP3, GP2 and latterly F2, and with mileage in the Ginetta LMP1 car from July\u2019s WEC Prologue at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain where he set the fastest lap time in the car.
