Motorsport UK, the national motorsport governing body, have today confirmed that the postponement period for all race competition in the country is extended until at least 30th June 2020. Their statement reads:<\/p>\n
\u201cIn light of recent developments in the COVID-19 crisis, and following the address to the nation by the Prime Minister on the evening of 23rd March, Motorsport UK has today extended its suspension of all organising permits and Certificates of Exemption for motorsport events until at least 30th June.<\/i>\n <\/p>\n
This move provides clear guidance to event organisers, venues, competitors, officials and volunteer marshals of the role that Motorsport UK must play in supporting the broader UK public health agenda.<\/i>\n <\/p>\n
In recent days the feedback from our members and the community was a need for increased clarity to allow them to plan appropriately and, should the need arise, put in place necessary contingency measures.<\/i>\n <\/p>\n
Motorsport UK will continue to monitor the prevailing advice from the UK Government in respect of the COVID-19 international pandemic and will update the motorsport community accordingly.\u201d<\/i>\n <\/p>\n
Therefore, the Ginetta race meetings currently postponed are:\n <\/p>\n
BTCC Rounds 1 to 5 \u2013 Donington Park (27\/28 March), Brands Hatch (11\/12 April), Silverstone (25\/26 April), Thruxton (16\/17 May), Oulton Park (13\/14 June)\n <\/p>\n
British GT Rounds 1 to 3 \u2013 Oulton Park (11-13 April), Snetterton (16\/17 May), Silverstone (6\/7 June), Donington Park (20\/21 June)\n <\/p>\n
The health and wellbeing of our employees and customers is our first priority, and therefore as of today (24th March) we have decided to close our factory and associated services, including our facilities at Blyton Park and SIMTrack Driving Performance Centre, until further notice.\n <\/p>\n
