Lewis Goff holds a healthy 64-point advantage at the top of the Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels standings as we cross the halfway point of a captivating 2026 season at Croft this weekend (27\/28 June).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the championship prepares to compete at the North Yorkshire circuit for the 18th<\/sup> time in history, Goff (R Racing) is the driver to beat after a superb start to the campaign. After scoring five wins in the opening six races, he then produced a remarkable performance at Oulton Park last time out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bouncing back from a nightmare qualifying session, Goff gained no less than 39 positions across the opening two races of the weekend before securing his sixth victory of the year in the closer. In the process, he was crucially able to increase his points lead heading into this weekend\u2019s four races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Goff produced his Oulton heroics, his chief title rival Harry Bartle (Pace Performance) unfortunately had his toughest weekend of the season so far. The second-year driver will be determined to bounce back this time out and add to his five podium finishes to date, which included a maiden win at Silverstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josh Watts and Harrison Mackie secured their first Ginetta Junior victories at Oulton meanwhile. Watts\u2019 success was a maiden win for Performance One Motorsport as well, while Mackie picked up Elite Motorsport\u2019s first victory of 2026 as he continues his impressive rookie season so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reigning champions R Racing are on top form again this year. Alongside their victories with Goff, they\u2019ve seen 2025 Winter Series champion Jesse Phillips make four trips to the overall podium so far, while Red Bull Junior Team driver Melvin Kalousdian scored his second of the season at Oulton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max Murray secured his maiden podium finish last time out, while Riley Cranham has been unlucky to miss out on silverware this year, especially having led race two at Oulton from start-to-finish before picking up a penalty. They\u2019ve both also been part of the R Racing assault at the front of the field, as has top ten regular Sebastien Leusch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Ashcroft is one of the in-form drivers on the grid, having celebrated double podium finishes in each of the last two rounds. The young talent, who is racing as part of Elite Motorsport\u2019s talent pathway with McLaren, will have a maiden victory in his sights next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also within the Elite Motorsport ranks is Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner Devon Hagelen, who picked up his first rookie class podium at Oulton. Team-mate Henry Cameron has been a top six regular in the last couple of rounds, while Daniel Oliver has shown podium potential throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fellow Elite contender Vladislav Tomenchuk broke into the top ten for the first time at Oulton Park, as did Jorn Helder (Project R). Noah Young (Performance One) has been a regular presence in the top ten this season, likewise Addison Smith (MDD Motorsport).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Robinson (E3 Sport) has been knocking on the door of the top ten in recent races, while Dominic Darling (Performance One) will be looking to build on a superb top four qualifying performance at Oulton. Vicky Farfus (Paradine Competition) has secured multiple points finishes so far, while Anesu Maphumulo (RABsport Racing) has a breakthrough points finish in his sights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bailey Doughty has established himself as the driver to beat in the championship\u2019s Freshman Cup, a class for car-racing rookies with no previous national-level karting experience. He\u2019s been victorious on six occasions so far, with his MK Racing team-mate Ethan Brass and Darling securing the other wins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two drivers will be making their Ginetta Junior debuts this weekend meanwhile. Ian Danicska (Elite Motorsport) will be both the first Romanian driver to race in the championship and also one of the youngest ever at just 14 years and eight days, while Luca Luen (Pace Performance) is a former Ginetta Junior Scholarship finalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
