After scoring four overall race victories with Alistair Barclay in 2019, they finished third in the standings last year with race-winner Owen Hizzey.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Moore is set to compete in one-make Ginetta racing for the fifth consecutive season.\u00a0Since making\u00a0his debut in the Ginetta\u00a0Racing Drivers Club in 2017, he\u2019s enjoyed a number of appearances in the G40 Cup and last year was a podium finisher in the overall GRDC class.<\/p>\n<p>Two drivers stepping up from 2020 GRDC grid to make their G40 Cup debuts this season are Jeremy Sussex and Tony Whitney. Sussex regularly battled\u00a0towards the front of the rookie class\u00a0last year and finished fourth on multiple occasions, while Whitney himself also scored a best result of fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Experienced Ginetta racer Andy Marshall will return to the G40 Cup for selected rounds this season, having previously been a series front-runner in 2015 and 2016. Steven Davies meanwhile is targeting a racing debut this season as the next milestone in his inspiring journey of recovery after suffering a stroke in early 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Johnson, team principal:\u00a0<i>\u201c<\/i><i>We\u2019re really excited to be back on the Ginetta G40 Cup grid this season. It\u2019s a fantastic championship to be part of and we\u2019re looking forward to being back in the paddock when the time comes.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe championship is a natural progression for Jeremy [Sussex] and\u00a0<\/i><i>Tony [Whitney] and with the potential they showed last year, we know they\u2019ll be quick once they\u2019ve got up to speed with slick tyres. Stephen [Moore] has made that transition before and has proven to be a quick driver.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cAndy [Marshall] is likely to be one of the most experienced drivers out there and he\u2019ll be giving maximum attack when he\u2019s on the grid. Steve [Davies] has zero racing experience so it\u2019ll be a big challenge for him, but he\u2019s incredibly passionate and we look forward to\u00a0<\/i><i>guiding him up the grid<\/i><i>.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Ginetta G40 Cup is an ideal platform for drivers who have recently discarded their \u2018novice\u2019 plates to learn the ropes in a packed grid full of drivers of\u00a0similar ability and experience.
