Three more young talents have signed up to the bumper grid for the 2026 Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Ashcroft has been announced as the final member of Elite Motorsport\u2019s line-up this year. The 14-year-old has enjoyed an incredible karting career, which included becoming the only Rotax racer ever to hold all six UK and World titles at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashcroft started his Ginetta journey by reaching the final seven of the Junior Scholarship contest back in October. He went on to make his racing debut in the Winter Series soon after, securing a hat-trick of rookie class podium finishes and a best result of fifth overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Ashcroft: <\/strong>\u201cLike every other driver on the grid, I want to win the championship along with claiming as many race wins and poles as possible. I tested with Elite ahead of last year\u2019s Ginetta Scholarship and immediately had a great connection with them and knew their history.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was an easy decision to join them for the Winter Series last year and beyond. The determination of the team to win is exactly what I strive to do. Additionally, the fact that Elite has retained the services of many past champions for its coaching squad, speaks volumes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His achievements in karting are outstanding but just as importantly, he\u2019s shown a great attitude and eagerness to learn since joining us.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe settled in well during the Winter Series and demonstrated that he\u2019s ready to take on the challenge of car racing. With the support of the team around him and a strong group of drivers alongside him, we\u2019re looking forward to seeing him continue to develop and grow throughout his first full season.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After making their Ginetta Junior debut at the start of the 2025 season, RABsport Racing will be back on the grid this year. Linking up with them is car-racing rookie Oscar Stockley-King, who put in an impressive performance in the Scholarship to reach the final 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oscar Stockley-King: <\/strong>\u201cThere were moments where this felt so far away, so many sacrifices and battles were fought to get here and am truly thankful to all those who believe in me, now I\u2019m ready for many more on track.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m beyond grateful for this opportunity and excited for everything that comes next: The learning, the growth, and the chance to show the who I am as a driver. Words can\u2019t quite describe this feeling, and I\u2019m not sure they ever will. This is just the beginning.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project R are another team returning to the grid this season. Their entry comes from Dutch talent Jorn Helder, who makes his Ginetta debut after a successful karting career that included competing in the FIA Karting European Championship, WSK Euro Series and Champions of the Future last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jorn Helder: <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m excited to confirm that I\u2019ll be racing in the Ginetta Juniors with Project R. I\u2019m looking forward to working with the team, pushing myself throughout the season, and showing what I\u2019m capable of in a highly competitive field.
