Having led the way following the season opener at Thruxton, Seb Hopkins (Elite Motorsport) regained the championship lead last time out at Brands Hatch. Whilst still awaiting a first win in the series, an unbeaten tally of five podium finishes has put him on top.<\/p>\n
Only one point adrift is Tom Edgar (R Racing), who had dethroned Hopkins at the top of the standings post Snetterton. The Northern Irishman took a race victory on each of the opening two events of the year, but lost some ground with a tough outing at Brands Hatch.\n <\/p>\n
Three points off the top meanwhile are Liam McNeilly (Fox Motorsport) and Will Jenkins (Elite Motorsport). Both drivers starred at Snetterton with podium hat-tricks, including a win for McNeilly, and have seen consistent points finishes edge them closer to the top.\n <\/p>\n
One to watch this weekend will be Callum Voisin (R Racing), who produced a sensational triple victory at Brands Hatch last time out to make it five overall race wins for the season, as well as six rookie class victories in the eight races to date.\n <\/p>\n
The R Racing charge at the front of the field has also featured Aston Millar and Josh Miller. The former has impressively finished every race inside the top six, the only driver to have achieved this feat, while 2020 race-winner Miller has scored a trio of third place finishes.\n <\/p>\n
In the rookie ranks, Josh Rowledge (Elite Motorsport) has starred to score two class wins, both at Snetterton, and finish off the podium only once. Ginetta Junior scholar Robert de Haan (Richardson Racing) has also impressed with six podium finishes to his name.\n <\/p>\n
Only one other driver has visited the rookie rostrum, with Max Dodds collecting four trophies. He\u2019s part of a competitive entry from Assetto Motorsport, alongside fellow rookie talent Harri Reynolds and top ten finishers Joe Wheeler and Jamie Osborne.\n <\/p>\n
R Racing team-mates Freddie Tomlinson and Ian Aguilera have also enjoyed top ten results this season, which is an accolade a number of drivers are striving to achieve. Amongst those are Elite Motorsport\u2019s Joe Warhurst, Max Hall and Jack Sherwood, plus James Higgins (Preptech UK) and Zac Meakin (Raceway Motorsport).\n <\/p>\n
A number of drivers come to Oulton Park in high spirits meanwhile after recording personal best results last time out, including Ginetta Junior scholar Maurice Henry (Fox Motorsport), Jacob Hodgkiss (Race Car Consultants) and Oliver Flashman (Richardson Racing).\n <\/p>\n
The ultra-competitive 2021 entry also includes talented rookie contenders Aqil Alibhai (Breakell Racing), Edward Pearson (Richardson Racing), Fergus Chalmers (Preptech UK) and Adam Brown (Ultimate Speed Racing).\n <\/p>\n
