No less than 25 drivers are now confirmed for the 2025 Ginetta Junior Championship.<\/strong> Rookie trio Ra\u00fal Zunzarren, Harry Bartle and Josh Watts are the latest recruits for a grid that is sure to grow even bigger ahead of the opening rounds at Donington Park next month.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experienced GT racing team MKH Racing, a new addition to the Junior grid this year, have announced Zunzarren and Bartle as their maiden driver line-up. Both young talents reached the final 12 of the hotly-contested Ginetta Junior Scholarship contest at Blyton Park back in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zunzarren is a former Spanish karting champion and winner of the IAME Euro Series in 2021. Bartle steps up to car-racing after a phenomenal 2024 karting season in which he was crowned Rotax British champion, British Open champion and Ultimate Karting champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ra\u00fal Zunzarren:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year is going to be year of learning, both for us, as it is our first year in cars, and for the team, which is its first with the juniors.<\/em> So, we are going to try to perform and give our best to fight for the championship.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry Bartle: <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI can\u2019t thank Tom from MKH Racing and Jay from FibreKing enough for giving me this great opportunity to make the jump into this championship.<\/em> It would not have been possible without them. I am working hard to be in with a good chance of winning the championship.<\/em> It will be tough but I am ready to give it a go!<\/em> Thank you to everyone who has believed in me and lets get going!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are delighted to announce the signings of Ra\u00fal Zunzarren and Harry Bartle for our debut campaign in the Ginetta Junior Championship. Over the winter, Tom and his team have worked tirelessly.<\/em> They have<\/em> ensured every detail has been meticulously addressed in preparation for the upcoming season.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Ginetta Junior Championship is an exceptionally competitive series, featuring well established teams with strong track records. We recognise the challenges ahead, but we embrace them with enthusiasm and determination. Watts meanwhile is set to contest his first full Ginetta Junior season with another new team to the championship, Tim Gray Motorsport. A class podium-finisher during a partial BRSCC Fiesta Junior campaign last year, the Lincolnshire driver made his Junior debut in the season-ending Winter Series and scored a hat-trick of overall top ten finishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josh Watts: <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis season I hope to be consistently at the front of the field in the Ginetta Junior Championship and hopefully challenging for the title.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A driver making a long-awaited return to Ginetta racing this season meanwhile is Charlie Digby. He started his career in the Juniors back in 2016. After a two-year spell in that championship, he graduated to the GT5 Challenge in 2018. He scored a podium finish in his debut race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digby stopped racing at that stage to focus on his university degree and starting a career as an accountant. However, his \u2018retirement\u2019 is coming to an end this year as he returns to the Ginetta paddock. He is entering into the GT Academy with MDD Racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlie Digby: <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am very excited to be back racing after far too long out! Knowing how competitive all Ginetta grids are, I look forward to some fun battles and close racing this year!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
