The family-run Somerset squad entered Ginetta racing last season with a wealth of prior experience in one-make competition. Nick White remains with them as they transition to the GT Academy, while Steve Williams returns to Ginetta\u2019s for the first time in over a decade.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Former Renault Clio racer White enjoyed a fantastic campaign in the Ginetta G40 Cup Pro class last season. With the support of headline sponsor Asset Advantage, he challenged for the class title with a brilliant 17 podium finishes in 18 races en-route to third in the standings.<\/p>\n
Nick White:<\/strong> \u201cI am delighted to have the opportunity to compete in the GT Academy for 2022 with Asset Advantage and MRM. After my debut last year in the G40 Cup, I was pleased with my progression throughout the season and look forward to continuing this momentum.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Williams meanwhile will race a Ginetta again for the first time in 14 years, having contested two seasons in the G20 Championship in 2007 and 2008. Since then, he\u2019s focused on front wheel drive racing in MG, Renault Clio and MINI championships.<\/p>\n Steve Williams:<\/strong> \u201cI watched a few Ginetta GT Academy races last season and was very impressed with the fast, close and exciting racing, while the cars look awesome. I knew it was time to return to the Ginetta grid and I\u2019m looking forward to working with Mike at MRM.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Mike Ritchie, MRM Team Principal:<\/strong> \u201cAs a team, we followed the GT Academy closely last year. The cars are awesome pieces of kit and the racing is very close and competitive.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cAs Nick did so well in his first RWD year, he\u2019s decided to make the jump up and we couldn\u2019t be happier to manage the car for him.
