{"id":5974,"date":"2024-09-23T18:25:19","date_gmt":"2024-09-23T17:25:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginetta.com\/?p=5974"},"modified":"2025-02-10T11:11:20","modified_gmt":"2025-02-10T11:11:20","slug":"preview-2024-ginetta-junior-championship-brands-hatch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginetta.com\/us\/news\/preview-2024-ginetta-junior-championship-brands-hatch\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: 2024 Ginetta Junior Championship \u2013 Brands Hatch"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>All eyes are on Ethan Jeff-Hall, Chase Fernandez and Charlie Hart this weekend at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandshatch.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brands Hatch<\/a> as they battle it out to be crowned the 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginetta.com\/racing\/\">Ginetta Junior<\/a> champion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After provisionally wrapping up the rookie title last time out at Donington Park, Jeff-Hall (R Racing) now has his sights set on the big prize. He\u2019s built a 37-point advantage heading into the final three races, courtesy of six race wins and 14 podium finishes so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeff-Hall\u2019s closest competition comes from fellow R Racing ace Chase Fernandez, who\u2019s the in-form driver with six victories in the last nine races. A couple of tough results alongside those have cost him crucial points though, leaving him facing a big challenge to overhaul his team-mate to the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hart (Elite Motorsport) had his toughest weekend of the season so far at Donington Park. His impressive consistency prior to that means his title hopes remain alive. To overturn a 75-point deficit, he\u2019ll likely need to add to his maiden win at Silverstone and see those above him hit trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeff-Hall won the rookie title. However, the battle is on for the class runners-up spoils between two-time overall race-winners Marcus Saeter (R Racing) and Isaac Phelps (Elite Motorsport). Saeter outscores his rival by eight podiums to six so far and holds a seven-point advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colin Cronin (Fox Motorsport) will be heading into the finale full of confidence. He had a stunning maiden win at Donington Park. Archie Clark (Elite Motorsport) is another in-form rookie with two podiums in the last four races. Alfie Slater (R Racing) is also a contender for a breakthrough overall podium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henry Joslyn (Preptech UK) and Felix Livesey (MDD Racing) are ones to watch. They aim to bring their second seasons in Juniors to an end in style. Joslyn is a three-time race-winner so far, while Livesey scored a best-ever race result of fifth last time out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ultra-competitive midfield pack features a number of drivers bringing impressive rookie seasons to a close. This includes Ruben Dan (Elite Motorsport), Tom Ingram Hill (R Racing), Torrin Byrne (Pace Performance), Ethan Carney (Preptech UK). 2024 Ginetta Junior scholar Jude Peters (E3 Sport) is also looking to finish strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Ellis (MDD Racing) and Holly Miall scored 11<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> respectively at Donington Park. The ever-improving pair will be aiming to end the year inside the top ten. Miall\u2019s Fox Motorsport team-mate Jack Robinson also have sights on the top ten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harry Moss (R Racing) is another driver aiming for a positive end to the 2024 campaign. Likewise, Pace Performance siblings Mahlori and Ntiyiso Mabunda who are welcome returnees to the grid this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow the action across the weekend on social media, @GinettaCars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Provisional Timetable:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday 28 September: Qualifying 14:15; Race One 18:05<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday 29 September: Race Two 10:55; Race Three 16:25<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All three races will be streamed live on Ginetta\u2019s YouTube channel.
