Kellett (Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport) got the weekend off to a perfect start in qualifying on Saturday morning, making it three pole positions in three this season by a quarter of a second from Tom Emson (Elite Motorsport) and Aston Millar (DTO Motorsport).<\/p>\n
Darren Leung (Assetto Motorsport) and James Townsend (Fox Motorsport) took their second class pole positions of the season so far in G56 Am and G55 Am, while Conner Garlick (Xentek Motorsport) set the G55 Pro pace for the first time.\n <\/p>\n
In race one that afternoon, Kellett would lead from start-to-finish to continue his perfect start to the season. A rocket launch for Millar got him up to second off the line and he kept Kellett honest in the early stages, before the leader edged clear to victory.\n <\/p>\n
Henry Dawes (Century Motorsport) put in a determined late charge for the podium but was thwarted by a good defence from Emson. Behind, Wes Pearce (Breakell Racing) briefly got the G56 Am lead, but Leung fought back to the victory by three seconds.\n <\/p>\n
Pearce and Colin White (CWS 4×4) followed him home to complete the class podium ahead of the leading G55 contenders. Luke Reade (Wolf Motorsport) grabbed the Pro lead on lap one and held it to the flag from Garlick and Blake Angliss (Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport).\n <\/p>\n
An opening lap spin for Townsend opened the door for Daniel Morris (Simon Green Motorsport) to pick up the victory in G55 Am. Ian Duggan (Fox Motorsport) got close to his rear bumper at one stage as he finished on the podium alongside Luke Warr (Race Car Consultants).\n <\/p>\n
Kellett\u2019s record-breaking victory came on Sunday morning, with the two-time GT5 Challenge champion enjoying another lights-to-flag success to overcome Tom Sharp\u2019s tally of six consecutive overall race wins set at the start of the 2011 season.\n <\/p>\n
Millar once again tailed him throughout as Emson made it a repeat podium from race one, with Dawes fourth again. There was an early change in G56 Am, with Pearce jumping past Leung off the line to ultimately take the win, with White third and Mike Brown (Ultimate Speed Racing) fourth.\n <\/p>\n
Reade doubled his win tally in G55 Pro meanwhile. Angliss briefly moved up to second, though his race ultimately ended with a puncture, so Garlick therefore led the chasing pack again from James Taylor (Team HARD) and Josh Poulain (Motus One).\n <\/p>\n
Morris made it two from two in G55 Am as he led throughout. Townsend bounced back well from his race one troubles to fight through to second in class ahead of his Fox Motorsport team-mates Duggan, who completed the Am podium, and Pro contender Nick Halstead.\n <\/p>\n
The final race of the weekend proved to be one of the most dramatic in the championship\u2019s long history. Two unfortunate incidents on the original race start led to a red flag and a restart, from which Emson pounced on a slow start from Dawes to lead.\n <\/p>\n
Emson\u2019s race ended soon after though, leading to Millar and Kellett duelling for the lead. An incident between the two led to a retirement for Millar, with Kellett going on to lead to the finish. Post-race however, he was disqualified from the result due to aforementioned incident.\n <\/p>\n
With Dawes\u2019 race having also ended early, it was therefore Pearce who was classified first overall as he picked up his fifth G56 Am win of the campaign. White was right on his tail at the finish as he extended his record to 15 class podium finishes in the last 16 GT4 SuperCup races at Knockhill.\n <\/p>\n
Reade fended off the challenge of a determined Taylor to secure a hat-trick in the G55 Pro class, lying third overall in the process, with Angliss, Garlick and Halstead completing the class finishers. Morris finished off a treble of his own too, winning G55 Am from Duggan.\n <\/p>\n
