A former British 250cc Champion, he\u2019s raced in leading domestic and international championships, as well as 24-hour World Endurance races including Bol d\u2019Or and Le Mans.<\/p>\n<p>The Morecambe based star made his four-wheel circuit racing debut last year in the Fun Cup and has contested some rallycross events in recent years. He\u2019ll be making his GT Academy bow in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginetta.com\/our-cars\/g56\/g56-gta\/\">Ginetta G56 GTA<\/a> prepared by W2R, as part of a bumper 30 car grid for the penultimate event of the season.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>John McGuinness: <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><em>\u201cFollowing my car-racing debut in the Fun Cup at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.donington-park.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donington Park<\/a> last year, I\u2019ve been chomping at the bit to keep racing on four wheels. I\u2019m really looking forward to this weekend.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLawrence [Tomlinson] very kindly invited me to Croft last August to take a spin in the GT Academy car. I knew instantly that I had to race it.
