Lexie Belk is set to make her Ginetta debut in the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship<\/a> with Alastair Rushforth Motorsport. Aged just 16, she will compete in the GT5 class as one of the youngest talents on the grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young racer has rapidly risen through the motorsport ranks, racing from the age of nine. Since starting out in Cadet Karting, she has progressed onto Minimax and Junior Rotax Championship Karting. Lexie looks to transfer her race craft and racing success following her car racing debut last year. She finished 4th<\/sup> overall and Vice Rookie in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lexie\u2019s Ginetta debut will see her compete alongside the latest racing talents in the all-new Ginetta GT Championship. She’s supported by Oxfordshire based team-Alastair Rushforth Motorsport. Sibling Freya Belk has also been alongside her sister’s racing journey. Both competed in Karting championships before entering British race car championships. With a wealth of experience and track record of success, Lexie has her sight set on claiming her first championship trophy in the GT series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lexie Belk said:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

“This year I am massively looking forward to racing in a highly competitive championship.<\/em> I<\/em> will push hard to achieve great results. I am excited to see how I will adapt to the change to rear wheel drive after racing Fiesta’s last year.<\/em> This will put my strength and knowledge to the test. I am eager to get started and see what I can accomplish with a great team behind me, Alastair Rushforth Motorsport.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIdeally, I would like to finish consistently amongst the front runners and claim some possible podiums.
