The young driver from Wales made an impressive debut in the Ginetta G40 Junior last year, despite no previous racing history prior to 2022. Competing in the Ginetta Junior championship last season, Ella completed her rookie season in the top 10 driver standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently recognised for her talent and racing driver potential, Ella is one of the 50 drivers selected to join the Motorsport UK Academy Futures Programme for 2023. The rising star will compete in the G40 GT5 race car supported by Calibre Contracting LTD and Calibre Equipment LTD. Ahead of the 2023 season, Ella made her successful GT5 challenge debut in October at Donington Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Words from Ella Lloyd<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ella Lloyd, said: <em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><em>I\u2019m excited to be teaming up with Xentek Motorsport for the 2023 season and making my next step into the Ginetta GT5 Challenge after our successful debut at the last round at Donington Park.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI can\u2019t wait to continue working with the championship-winning team and everyone involved, and show our success together this season. Our ambitions are high for the year ahead and we will be working hard to complete them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GT5 specification represents the ultimate evolution of the Ginetta G40 platform. With the most powerful engine in the G40 range, this model unleashes the G40\u2019s maximum potential and offers exhilarating racing for all ages and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Words from Christopher Richards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christopher Richards, Xentek Motorsport Team Principal, said:&nbsp;<\/strong><em>\u201cWe are delighted to have Ella [Lloyd] on the team this year.<\/em> <em>We<\/em> <em>believe she\u2019s in with a good chance of securing us the historic fifth title. Her performance at the final round last year was unbelievable, and fills us with confidence heading into the 2023 season.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cShe showed great pace from the off in the GT5 car.<\/em> <em>Ella was<\/em> <em>running with the front of the pack at Donington Park. She also worked as a team player in her first weekend with us.<\/em> <em>Her support for Mikey [Doble] in qualifying playing had a hand in him ultimately securing the title that weekend.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GT Championship grid will consist of two main classes, G40 GT5 and G56 GT Pro. It offers a unique steppingstone for Ginetta drivers with its multicar and multiclass grid. It allows Drivers to step up to either the GT5 or GTP car to continue to develop their skills and race craft.
