Theo Edgerton will look to build upon an impressive Winter Series display as he enters the 2019 Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship with Total Control Racing.

After starting 2018 competing in the X30 class of the Super One Karting Series, Edgerton brought his campaign to an early conclusion so he could focus on making his circuit racing debut in the Ginetta Junior season finale at Brands Hatch.

The 14 year old from Worcestershire went on to compete in the Winter Series at the same venue, superbly qualifying in fourth overall and fighting for outright podium finishes as he secured two rookie class victories and a handful of fastest rookie lap times.

Theo Edgerton: “I’m obviously very excited about the season ahead, especially after the really positive results from the Winter Series. I am delighted to be continuing with Total Control Racing, who have shown how they can bring on inexperienced drivers like myself quickly.”

Lee Brookes, team manager: “We as a team are really delighted that Theo Edgerton is joining us for the 2019 Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship. He has shown that he is very quick on track and impressed with his rookie wins in the Winter Series.

“Theo and his family are a real pleasure to deal with and with the extra testing they’re committing to, he’s going to be ready to hit the ground running come the openings rounds at Brands Hatch.”

The Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s longest running and most prestigious Junior series, offering the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14-17 year old racing drivers as they compete on the support bill for the British Touring Car Championship.
