Eight Ginetta G55s Set For Dijon FFSA GT4

11th July 2018 • Ruth Harrison-Davies

The circuit of Dijon-Prenois will host the National Weekend of GT4 (that’s a thing right?) this weekend (13 – 15 July), as the French FFSA GT Championship travels East with a record number of 41 entries. Among the contenders for victory, our very own Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche are aiming to maintain their championship lead.

Following the rather technical and sinuous circuits of Nogaro and Pau, Dijon offers a very different playing field to the competitors of the French FFSA GT Championship. With two wins and two podiums across the four races run thus far, Speed Car’s Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche very much arrive as the men to beat.

Their teammates, Douglas Lundberg and Pierre Courroye will be looking to make a podium return after twice taking to the Pro-Am rostrum. The third and final Ginetta entered in the top-flight class is that of the Schatz-Lestienne Racing team. Nicolas Schatz - seven-time French Champion of the Mountain – will be joined behind the wheel by Alain Gaunot.

The Am class meanwhile, has an impressive 21 entries this weekend, five of which come in the form of a Ginetta G55 GT4. Just 18 points behind the class leaders is a solo entry for Rodolphe Wallgren with Speed Car.

There are further entries from Guillaume Maio / Alexandre Guesdon (GM-Sport), and a trio of entries for team CMR; Wilfried Cazalbon / Louis Rousset, Alexis Berthet / Christopher Cappello and finally Sebastien Quesada / Franck Quesada.

Good luck to all the Ginetta family, bring back the silverware!
