Do you have any hobbies outside of motorsport?

I play Rounders and Badminton at school, I love listening to music, everywhere. Going out with my friends is something I enjoy very much but it doesn’t happen very often due to my heavy training and racing schedule. I love spending time with my family.

Do you have any pre-race rituals?

I fist-bump with my dad but generally won’t say anything or have anything said to me other than that. I also do warm-up exercises too but that's not really a ritual

What are your motorsport career highlights?

I guess that’s got to be winning my first kart championship within the first year of taking up the sport. Then I’d say winning the Buckmore Park Junior Star Pupil award in the same year, being scouted by Arden for their YRDA and getting nominated for Karting Magazine’s Rookie of the Year award, all within the 10 months of jumping into a kart. Getting podiums in my first races in owner driver Junior Subaru karts. So far in 2018, I’d say my highlights were securing a drive for the full season with Richardson Racing and then, the same day, being announced as the winner of Downforce Radio’s ‘Henry Surtees Teen Racer of the Year 2017’ award; that was such an awesome feeling, I was completely stunned and shocked, I couldn’t move from my chair for a few seconds! I’ve was awarded a race scholarship in the US with Pippa Mann and Lucas Oil School of Racing. Tested in sn F4 car at Anglesey on August 14/15th, such an awesome experience.

What is your championship goal this season ?

To learn lots, to win as many podiums as possible and see where that leaves me towards the end of the season, but most of all, to have as much fun as I possibly can.

What makes your driving stand out from the crowd?

My driving style is very smooth and precise normally. I’m hard but fair on track.

What's your favorite circuit and why?

That’s a difficult one as I’ve only driven a few so far. I think it’d be either Silverstone or Donington Park at the moment. Silverstone because it’s fast, open and very safe, with some trick bits thrown in too. Donington, I’ve only driven once but it’s so fast a flowing, it’s great fun! The section from turn one and down Craner Curves has to be one of the best parts of any circuit anywhere. Can’t wait to get back there this year.

Where did you race and what were your results last season?

I raced in Junior Subaru karts for the first part of the season and was running 5th in the championship when I was advised to stop karting and focus on testing in Ginetta Juniors. I made my race car debut in Ginetta Juniors at Rockingham on August 26th, exactly 1 year from entering my first MSA kart race. I also raced at Silverstone and Brands GP, with a best rookie finish of 5th place at Silverstone.
