Ginetta Face Of The Race winner Shirley Kennedy is set to bring an added level of glamour to the Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup and Ginetta Junior Championship at Knockhill next weekend (25/26 August) after storming to victory in Ginetta’s online ‘face of the race’ competition.
The 27 year old will strut her stuff in the famous Ginetta catsuit as the Yorkshire car manufacturer brings its fleet of G55, G50 and G40 race cars to Scotland in support of the British Touring Car Championships.
Ginetta Chairman, Lawrence Tomlinson added; “We are delighted Shirley is set to join Ginetta at Snetterton, it’s great to see women getting involved with their local race circuit.
"The Face Of The Race competition is a brilliant way for aspiring models to represent our brand on the prestigious TOCA package, and being seen by thousands of motorsport fans live on ITV4 is a great addition to any model’s portfolio. Ginetta pride ourselves on progressing driver’s careers, so we are thrilled to be able to offer the same support to women such as Shirley.”
Shirley and her guest will be Ginetta’s official guests at the Knockhill rounds of the Ginetta GT Supercup and Ginetta Junior Championships, where she will represent the top British car manufacturer by standing at the head of the grid for their five races over the weekend.
She will also be treated to full hospitality and given the chance to meet and greet the movers and shakers in the motorsport industry, as well as teams, drivers and celebrity guests.
Tune into ITV4 from lunchtime on Sunday August 26 to see how Shirley fairs in front of a grid packed full of Ginetta’s.
