Nova Race Set For Italian GT In Monza

A pair of Ginetta G55 GT4’s are set to hit the ground running at the historic Autodromo Nazionale Monza this weekend as Ginetta’s Italian outfit, Nova Race looks to continue its string of successes.

Two wins in the opening four races means the team is on the hunt for more silverware this weekend. Gianluca Carboni and Giampiero Cristoni stormed to the win at the inaugural round at Imola. Meanwhile, it was Luca Magnoni who claimed his first 2017 victory at the Misano circuit two weeks ago.

Carboni arrives at round three second in the GTS class, just 11 points behind the leader. For this weekend, he will share driving duties with new teammate Alessandro Marchetti. The former rally driver with experience in the Italian WRC and IRCup, will make his debut with the Ginetta after a fruitful 55-lap test at Monza.

The first of the two 48-minute plus one lap races gets underway on Saturday at 5.05pm (local time) after the two qualifying sessions. Race two takes place at 5.10pm on Sunday, both with live streaming at
